Overview

South Atlantic Solutions considers solutions development to be at the core of its business focus. Solutions development capabilities, is a skill that supports all the other services we provide. It is thus no surprise that we have developed our own software products for the financial industry. We develop software solutions for banks running any software package.

It is our commitment to deliver solutions requested that are appropriate to the customer requirements.  To achieve this high target, we conform to high standards and follow a proven development methodology.

End users often experience untold frustrations during the implementation process due to systems supposedly designed for them which are inappropriate to the task at hand. This may be attributable to the practice where development firms deem specifications created and signed off at management level to be sufficient.

South Atlantic Solutions attends to this problem at a detailed  level of functionality specification of a new solution. We partake (with the clients permission) in detailed analysis of the current and potential hindrances to the end user.

Solutions Development Process

These are used as crucial guides in the entire design of the system. A typical solutions development process would include the following.

  • Observation and analysis of current work flow patterns for the required new system/product.
  • In conjunction with qualified staff of the bank, a high level and then detailed functionality specification is developed.
  • Result of end-user observations and interviews are used to review the functionality specification.
  • System and Database designs are then carried out with minor prototypes created where necessary.
  • High and selected end users are consulted on prototypes.
  • Final design with prototypes are presented for sign-off. This is important as we deem it impractical to sign off specifications only - specifications can be used to create both practical and impractical systems.
  • Appropriate technology and machine configurations are recommended.
  • The development project is activated and carried out conclusively and in timely fashion.
  • Documentation is provided accordingly.
  • Client engages in quality assurances tests.
