- Overview
At South Atlantic Solutions we are able to assist in the implementation of new functions developed by the client as well as any fully integrated T24 module. Our implementation approach is very standard and practical.
Implementations can make or break a good business relationship. Because of this we approach implementations with utmost care and only choose to involve ourselves with implementations in which we are certain to deliver satisfactorily.
South Atlantic Solutions believes that an implementation project can be managed and executed jointly by the client and the supplier. However, the success or failure of the implementation project defines the future of that relationship. For an implementation project to be successful, it requires that
- appropriate skills be available,
- required experience be involved,
- the client’s needs and the software’s capabilities be well understood,
- selection of the right technology,
- a contributory attitude from all involved and
- uninterrupted support and funding for the project.

A standard implementation for us would include the following procedures.
- Carrying out of a detailed “Gap Analysis”. This would normally be done jointly with the client. A detailed documentation is produced covering any differences between the client’s needs and system’s capabilities.
- Recommendation and discussions as to alternatives and further customization needs in response to the “Gap Analysis” report.
- Creation of a post-implementation workflow scenario. This would help determine the extent of additional interfaces, customizations and screen designs.
- Development of a full and final functionality specification taking into consideration the added customization required.
- Analysis of other implementation issues such as suitable rollout methodology (“Big Bang” or “Product by Product”).
- Creation of an implementations project plan outlining resources, milestones, time frames, temporary data migration plans and testing schedules.
- Sign off of pre-commencement documentation.
- Activation of the project plan according to the signed off documents.
- Timely training of staff, setting up of disaster recovery contingencies, test migration exercises and advanced user acceptance tests.
- Final conversion exercise with associated audit control / confirmation exercises.
- Handover of project to client and activation of support phase.
